Commissions are the site's only current revenue source, which keeps the incentive simple: recommendations have to be good enough that readers book through them and come back. We do not accept payment from tour operators for placement in our curated picks, and which platform pays more never decides which excursion we recommend. If sponsored placements are ever introduced, they will be labeled as such.
